Park Shore Condo Real Estate Sales Report for February 2016

Many home sellers believe that if they can sell their home without a professional Realtor, they can save money on commissions and fee’s.  Often that is not the case.  The Mike Z Team are real estate professionals in Southwest Florida and we see about 80% of For Sale By Owner listings eventually end up enlisting the services of a Realtor.  Which means instead of hiring a Realtor up front they spent time and money marketing the home themselves, incurring additional costs such as advertising, flyers, signs, and more.  These costs add up to hundreds of dollars.  If the home owner is able to procure a contract on their own, it is highly likely the buyer will be represented by a Realtor and will need to be compensated, usually half of what a listing agent would have been paid.  In addition, since the homeowner does not have a Realtor, they will have to hire an attorney for an hourly fee.  The biggest difference between using an Attorney vs. a Realtor is even if the deal falls apart you still need to pay your attorneys steep hourly fee’s.
